Lecturer - SUNY Plattsburgh (NY)

Developed curriculum and all lecture materials for inorganic chemistry as part of the undergraduate ACS certified chemistry major. Introduced new laboratory experiments and protocols for CHE 430/431 which include computational projects. Created assessment protocols and administered grades for lecture and laboratory sections.

 

Taught in other areas of chemistry, focusing mainly on organic chemistry lab and general biochemistry. Provided content updates and reviewed lab manuals yearly. Chemical ordering, general lab maintenance and upkeep performed each semester. Created a STEM based Cardinal Foundation Seminar (CFS) course for freshmen.

Maintaining an active research presence in the department with undergraduate student group members. Collaborations with NDSU, University of Buffalo and University of Tromsø. Students presented research at ACS conferences, Sigma Xi and worked on manuscripts for future publication.

Assistant Professor - VCSU (ND)

Developed curriculum and all lecture materials for listed chemistry courses in the Science Department as part of the undergraduate chemistry major. Developed all new laboratory experiments and protocols for all upper-level courses. Provided both in-class, synchronous and asynchronous virtual learning lectures through use of a variety of online tools and LMS. Created assessment protocols and administered grades for both lecture and laboratory sections.

Postdoctoral Researcher - U. of Tromsø (Norway)

Used DFT modeling of transition metal complexes to predict, describe, and understand catalytic pathways.

  • Explored selective hydrogenation catalysts towards the modification of small biological relevant molecules.

  • Mechanistic studies performed to understand reaction pathways and selectivity governing processes.

  • Worked with experimentalists to test and confirm findings.
